HEAVENLY MANSIONS PREPARED FOR US

As we all gathered around the ten foot extension to Pastor Victors house, he shared about the reallity of a much better and glorious house that Jesus has gone to prepare for all that know him. The temperal place here on earth is nothing more than wood, concrete, and metal, and will one day be gone. Our lives here are but a breath in the backdrop of eternity and only the things done on earth for His Glory and in His Name will be taken into eternity. As the only Pastor that lives in the colonia, Paula and I feel so strongly connected to his whole family because we see them every day and so enjoy the times of fellowship with them. I shared with them yesterday what I had put on our blog about the death of thier son bringing new life to the family, that they too see Gods hand working all things out together for good in the midst of the pain. It brought tears to all of us as we prayed around the table for Gods new plan to unfold to this family willing to serve the people here in Nopalera. As is the new custom we have when we dedicate a home, Naftalee lifted his wife and carried her across the threshold of thier new ten foot by twelve foot room. To them it was huge, much more than they thought they would be living in. They expressed thier thankfullness toward God for providing a clean and dry place to lay thier heads at night. Again our friends Beto and Carmello as well as the staff from SOS and Victors family all worked together to get this done. We also poured concrete on the old kitchen dirt floor to make it a little better and part of the new family here actually slept on the floor with a roll out camping matress. We have things to do today on this side of the border to prepare for a group coming next week so I gotta go!! ADIOS AND THANK YOU FOR HELPING THE PEOPLE IN REYNOSA
