NEW FRIENDS, NEW HOUSES

As the Ruiz and Shong families arrived Sunday, we planned on building one house in Reynosa while they were here. Well we headed for Progresso Mx Monday and framed the little house for a family of four that have been waiting for their house for a few weeks. The Carpenters Crew from La Harpe Il and Me planned on building it a few weeks ago and time just got away from us, so we took advantage of two willing families that drove from Chicago and Indiana to getter done. While we framed that one, Carmelo, Beto and Raul started on the one in Reynosa. Tuesday we framed the one for Victor and his family in Reynosa. Wednesday we split up again to install both roofs and as we started, the wind shifted and the frigid north winds dropped the temps 20 degrees. We finally finished as we froze. Ron had only shorts on and none of us were very prepared for the temp change. Rick stayed behind to put the finishing touches on the house and the propane heater He bought was a real blessing for Mom and the two little girls. Enrique and his boys helped Carmelo and Beto get the roof on in Reynosa. Now I don't know if temperature changes can make you sick, but I sure got sick for the last few days with a fever and congestion. Thursday we finished the house in Reynosa and Friday was much warmer as we decorated the house and then dedicated it. Ruthy and Lucy prepared a fine chicken dinner and we brought the family with to celebrate Gods goodness. In spite of the cold, we had an awsome time with the Shong and Ruiz families. Thanks to all of you that supported their trip here and the blessings they bestowed upon us from you as well. GREAT IS YOUR REWARD IN HEAVEN FOR BEING PART OF GODS PLANS TO HELP THOSE IN NEED. GRACIAS
