WHILE YOU ARE SLEEPING

This precious little baby has no idea about the world she was born into. No idea that her mom and dad have to struggle to make ends meet and provide for her brother and sisters. No idea that the place they live has no running water or electricity. I would argue that innocence is indeed bliss! The face of this little child screams peace and contentment while she sleeps. A trust that she knows nothing about yet has been placed in the hands of her creator and He Will Provide. I'm so glad that we built them a home last year with the help of our friends from Zion Lutheran Church in Handcock Michigan. Thanks Lonnie and Dave. She has a clean dry place to flourish and grow and the problems of her surroundings are far from her thoughts. Because, she was beautifully and wonderfully made and God has a plan for her life. We have been buying up all the bicycles we can find in Reynosa and plan on giving them out over the course of the next few days. We were issued a permit by the Mexican Govt. to bring all the toys and backpacks we have, to be given out this Saturday on the Day of The Child. It is also the day we give out food to all the families as well, Roy and Rebecka and their kids Jose', Jacob and Andrew will help us get it all done. We have literally thousands of toys, two hundred backpacks and we will also grill hot dogs, pop popcorn and give out juice boxes and raffle off the bikes.Calebs injury to His head on Easter, hasn't slowed him down a bit. There's a term in poker when placing a bet and it's called "ALL IN" and that means, your putting everything on the table and betting it all on what you THINK, is a winning hand. Well, Paula and I are ALL IN on the purchase of property we have been renting for four months now, waiting for our house to sell to pay for it. Some trust in the things of this world to carry them, but we're trusting in the LORD OUR GOD! We don't need no stinking 401k's we got Jesus!
