A BLAST FROM THE PAST AND MORE BLESSINGS FOR THE CHILDREN

Yesterday, a life long friend Mark Luscombe came to south Texas to make a delivery in Pharr and called to say Hi. He thought we lived in San Antonio and was glad to here we were right where he was going, so he parked his big rig by our house and we had breakfast and then took him to Mexico to see the work we were doing there. Mark had never left the country before so it was a new experience for him. We just spent an hour or so there because he had to leave for Dallas. We grew up together and is the only one I've been in touch with through the years, in fact he used to drive cross country with me years ago when I drove a truck and then I worked with him at a roofing company in Chgo. Just sitting in the truck had me thinking ROAD TRIP! Last weekend, we drove up to San Antonio to see Phil and Marianne Chain, two missionaries from Oklahoma that have served in Cancun Mx. for years. They had hundreds of backpacks filled with stuff for kids and because they wouldn't be driving to Cancun until things settle down in Mx. they gave all the backpacks to us to give to the kids in Reynosa. What a blessing they have been to us, to share what God has given them to bless so many children. The block house we built has the stucco on the inside and the doors will go in today, so we hope to dedicate the house on Saturday. ADIOS
