WHATEVER GOD WANTS US TO DO

Friday Paula and I had to go to the Melody Lane Christian Renewal Center in Mission Texas to learn the operations so we could fill in for Dave and Sharon Sachs so they could return to their home in California for the first time in almost 2 years. They have been faithfully serving as volunteers, running the center, where we house teams that want to stay in the U.S. They were the first people we met, when us and the Kincaids lived there for two months while we sought out Gods will for us here. Please pray that God would bring a buyer for their house while they are there selling all of their stuff. They have connected us with many people and ministries that help us do ministry better, so it is a joy to help them out. Besides, I challanged them to pay for a few houses in Mx, with the money from their house WHEN it sells, NOT IF. Saturday we did a food and clothes outreach in Mexico and gave out quite a few mosquito nets as well. I bought wood to start building the pews for some churches in the colonia. I probably won't go to Mx everyday while we're staying at Melody Lane, but I can't stay away for more than two days, I get bored on this side of the border.

THE BLESSING IS IN THE GIVING

Tuesday we poured the concrete on the sunday school classroom and the Pastor was so gratefull that we came and blessed his church in such a huge way. I plan on building them pews for the church as well. There are several churches that could use pews, so I guess I'll be building quite a few in the weeks to come. We have a blueprint for some real nice 8 foot pews and I'll try to cut all the wood here in the states and then the guys in Mx will help me put them together. Today we gave out groceries to about a hundred families and some mosquito nets as well. We did something a little different today, and took prayer requests from everyone and after we gave out all the food we had, we took a few minutes to pray for all the people we met today. We gave out several bibles and prayed with one young man as he really desires to start living for God. Ruth had a great meal waiting for us when we returned to the Ministry House. There is no better way to express the Love of God than meeting some real needs in a real way, so thanks to those of you that support what we do here, we are truly blessed by being a blessing, and those of you that don't, what are you waiting for?

FELIZE DIA DE MADRE AND FELIZ CUMPLEANOS MARTIN

I don't like it when my birthday falls on Mothers Day, because I feel guilty getting attention when it's a day to celebrate Moms. So belated Happy Mothers Day all you Moms! We went to church on this side of the border, than came home and Paula made a ton of chicken to take to Mexico. Ruthy's Mom made a tres leches cake for my birthday and they are soooo good. Lucy made fresh tamales and Ruthy and her Mom made Mole'. It really is all about food in this life and these Mexican friends of ours are great cooks. We ate and then hoisted the piniata for some real Mexican style celebration. We all had our chance to break the ELMO but I think Paula did the most damage to it when she and the piniata fell hard to the ground with a mighty blow. The kids all had a blast and we laughed until we cried. We came home about 8 oclock only to return to Mx early this morning to help some friends move and then meet a missionary on our lot to see if the hand dug well could bring forth water with some extra digging. He checked it out and said he would bring his drilling rig next week and hopefully hit water. Tomorrow we pour the concrete floor on a church we're helping build. Over 100 degrees everyday for the last week

ALL CLEAR ???

Is the hype over about swine flu? As the schools reopen in Mx for the older kids this week and all other schools next week, I can't help but wonder, who is responsible for the panic that had everyone locked up in their houses, afraid to go to church or the mall or to anywhere that people are? FEAR!! The spirit that drives these events way out of proportion is fear. The government plays on the fears of people and so does the media that kept us glued to the TV to see the next bit of news about the pandemic sweeping the globe. We found ourselves getting caught up in the fear for a few days and then we went over to Mexico and sorted out and bagged up food for distribution in the colonia and the fear dissapeared. We are finally going to be able to honor the children on Sunday as well as the Moms in the colonia, because the Day of The Child gatherings were all cancelled last week. Raul is still in his old home town in Mx trying to get his birth certificate so he can get his Texas drivers license. As most of the groups coming here have cancelled their trip, were trusting God to provide the money to build these families homes that were suppose to get houses from the groups that were going to come. Please pray and ask God what would he have you do to provide for these families?
