TWENTY FOLD RETURN IN JUST THREE DAYS!!!

When we gave everyone in the colonia a double portion of beans and rice Saturday, my prayer was for them to give a portion of their blessing to another family. I won't know how that pans out until next month when we hand out food again. Well my brother from another mother, Rocket Rick Caywood called and has 5000 lbs of beans for me. Check out his ministry google Rick Caywood, Waco Texas. So we sowed an extra 250 lbs of beans and God gave us 5000lbs. We just can't seem to outgive God!!! I have to drive to San Benito, Tx in the morning to get as many bags as I can fit in my van and I'll get the rest later. I really just want to see Rick and bless him however I can. Paula made a wonderful tres leches cake for Mimi and Rebeccas 5th birthday party today, and we also had chicken and a piniata. Over 100 again today, so not much work done in the colonia, but the churches from Austin did manage to extend water service to several more families down the road.

OUT IN THE CROWD, ONE MAN STOOD ALONE

The people began to line up and register at 6:00 AM. Paula and I were just getting out of bed at that time and Beto and Lucy were at our ministry house in Mexico serving the Lord. I never prepare any message and this week was no different. God had spoken to my heart about giving every family a double portion of beans and rice this month and just telling them that He loved and sent His Son to rescue them from darkness and bring them into His marvelous light. I shared about giving and that the double portion that they had been blessed with was seed to be sown into other peoples lives. Roy and Rebecca helped us out again and we are really enjoying their company and their help. Finally some missionaries we can work along side of toward the common goal, HELPING THE POOR! Any how, after sharing about Gods love we asked them how many families sent their children to bed hungry this past month? About seven hands went up and in tears I told them I don't ever want that to happen again and they could come to us or Roy and Rebecca for food when the need arises. We bowed our heads and prayed over everyone, for jobs, healing, houses, giving hearts to support our work here and for Salvation for anyone that did not have it. And after all the food and juice boxes were gone, a stranger was hanging around and pretty much asked what He had to do to be Saved!! Wow! I asked Him why He felt the need and the message of God Loving Him was all he needed to hear. He said His life needed changing, so after Paula shared with Him some more I suggested that we all kneel down on the ground as Lalo prayed to God for the first time in his life and forever changed his eternal destination. So rejoicing in heaven took place as we prayed and we are reminded of why we surrendered our so called lives in Chicago to follow Gods call to Mexico and now we really live.

A DOUBLE PORTION, CAN YOU HANDLE IT???

How do you get a double portion of Gods blessing? Well after resting a few days after everyone left on Saturday, the heat really takes a toll on us, we are preparing to hand out the food on Saturday. We bought the cooking oil, salt, soap packets and of course the juice bottles for all the kids that come, this morning and then started to bag everything up. When we started putting the normal one kilo of beans in the bags, God spoke to my heart and said to put in double the normal amount of food and bless every family with a double portion and tell them I LOVE THEM. So how do you get a double blessing? BY GIVING A DOUBLE BLESSING! We can't wait to see what God does or better yet, rejoice in what he has already done. Yesterday I received a call from someone who knows someone who knows us. He said he had ten pallets of food, medical supplies and clothes and wondered if we could use it. Curves chocolate shake mix, Mres, soy energy bars, crutches, walkers, diapers, I don't even know what else. Maybe God blessed us with our double portion before we even heard and obeyed to sow a double portion into the lives of the poor people in the colonia on Saturday.Listening to hear the voice of The Holy Spirit that tempts us to do good. We are all tempted, all the time, to do either good or evil choose the good and believe for a miracle. We supplied a young couple, she's 15 and he's 24, yea I know, but it is what it is. Blanca is pregnant expecting in July and we shared Christ with her and Thomas yesterday and today when we brought them a new bed and a bunch of other things. They want me to marry them and then supply them with a party! Why not, it'll be worth it. they are so cute.

IF A PICTURE SAYS A THOUSAND WORDS

Then simply said, TO GOD BE THE GLORY AND MAY THE PEOPLE REJOICE IN ALL THAT GOD HAS DONE THIS PAST WEEK!!!!

DENVER TO THE DUMP

After spending a few days in Denver in those beautiful surroundings for Kellys' graduation, the week ended with building a house for a family in the squatter dump in Reynosa. We shared a wonderful time of hard work in the heat to provide two families with hope and a future, giving them our time, talents and resources to make their life better. While Mikee and the team of Mexico Project.Org built a newly designed house, Paula,Me, Jim, Jan, Kelly, Ryan,Carmelo and Beto spent two and a half days assembling and decorating Damian and Natalies house just across the canal. While many people around the world waited for the Rapture to take place, we put our faith to work by being a blessing to a family of believers, storing up treasure in heaven by doing what the bible calls in Ephesians 2 vs 10, " the work that God prepared in advance for us to do". It's not just enough to call yourself a "Christian", you have to BE ONE. Living everyday on this earth to touch someones' life in a significant way and to make a difference right where you are. Dedication day is always the best day. As the teams put the finishing touches on the outside, the girls put the finishing touches on the inside, by making their new beds, hanging curtains and pictures on the walls, arranging the food and gifts on the shelves so that when the family enters the home for the first time, they would experience the love of God and our love for them as well. We were all emotional as we prayed for these families and blessed the house and their future. The time goes so fast as we had to say goodbye to everyone yesterday Paula and I took Kelly, Ryan, Jim, Jan, Jeb, and Mike and Rose Smit to the airport and the "ground crew" drove off and headed back to Chicago. It was a quiet ride home for me and Paula because we really love when people come and stay with us and to be part of what God is doing down here and when they leave, a part of us goes with them, and part of them stays with us and the peoples lives they have forever changed.
