...share your food with the hungry and provide the poor wanderer with shelter--when you see the naked clothe him... Isaiah 58:7
YOU JUST CAN'T STOP THE FLOW OF GODS' BLESSINGS
Yesterday the rice arrived on the wheels of Rick Caywood Ministries semi truck. We took Rick out to breakfast before unloading the rice. He's excited about all the blessings flowing our way to provide the hungry with food. As Rick wrestled with my pallet jack, He said he was giving me one skid extra for free so I could buy a new pallet jack. After unloading the rice for us , as well as two other ministries that will come here to get their rice instead of Rick driving around , we prayed together and I gave Rick the check for the $2500.00 for the rice and before he even got to his truck to leave, he came back with the check torn into pieces and said"AIN'T GOD GREAT". When The Holy Spirit speaks, OBEY! Delayed obedience is disobedience, so when I ordered the rice after only receiving $1600.00 in personal support last month, God already had a harvest in store for us. You don't need money to do what God has told you to do, you just need God! Stoves, windows and clothes fill half of the carport and we are trusting for FAVOR to get it all to Mexico. Charlie the clown is here from Chgo. and is working with Scott on a church in Mx for a few days.
ABSOLUTLY BLESSED BEYOND MEASURE
The huge bins of food we have been blessing so many people I can't even count. Many Pastors and people that have needs have been coming for food and the bins are emptying fast. Of the twelve bins we got two weeks ago, we only have 5 left. Beyond the people coming to our house for food, we prepare boxes of assorted food and take them to the colonia and ask God to show us the people that need it the most and yesterday I stopped at a house and when the women saw all the food, she began to cry and praise God, because they had absolutely no food eat. Canned goods, cereal, pasta, cookies, crackers and other stuff will fill their stomachs for at least a week. Three other families were blessed as well. A friend came by with three men that work for him and we loaded up their vehicle for their families and later David told me that the men were speechless that people just give food away like that and were very grateful. Another foundation is almost ready and we might build it next week, or wait until our friends from Chicago leave. We can use help on this side for a few days to get the rest of our stuff out of the old house, and fix a few things before closing. Closing, what an interesting term for selling a house as another chapter closes in our life here and the new chapter is in full swing. We purchased 10,000 lbs of rice and it will be here tomorrow. It is half the price of we usually pay, so when the door to buy it opened we walked by faith through it, trusting God to provide the $2500 for the rice that will take us through the end of the year. Thanks for the prayers and partnerships, we couldn't do it without either.
ANGELS IN THE OUTFIELD
God sent some angels from the outfield, actually New York, to bring the message of Gods' continuing passion for the poor. These angels were sent by God to buy our house in Pharr, so we can purchase the house in San Juan and feed the multitudes and touch more lives. George, Loretta and Janet flew in yesterday and fell in love with the house. They had already fasted and prayed about this step of faith before they even arrived and this morning we all sat around the table and made it an official act of obedience. Paula and I obeyed God by moving and trusting, and our three angels obeyed God by buying our house and opening up their lives to be used by God even more with their new home. Yesterday we picked them up at the airport and showed them the house and before we left, they had confirmation in their hearts to move forward with the purchase. We spent the rest of the day in Progresso Mexico walking the streets and having some great Mexican food as we got to know our new friends. The bible says that when you give generously to the poor, then because of this, the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to, and all we can say to that is AMEN!! George, Lori and Janet are part of Gods provision for us and are now partners in everything we do and will indeed be blessed because of their part in helping the poor. WHO AM I, THAT THE LORD OF THE UNIVERSE WOULD LOOK ON ME WITH LOVE?
WHAT SO EVER A MAN SOWS, HE REAPS
I'm thinking God has a plan! We have been giving out food in the colonia for a long time. It usually costs us between $600 and $1ooo to feed the colonia every month. Well last months food was bought with a donation from Christ Community Church in Lemont Il. and this month The Carpenters Crew left us enough money to pay for March. So we have sown food into the lives of the families in Mexico and God continues to provide for these precious people. Now we have reaped an abundance of food. Beans to last the year, 12 skids full of salvaged food from a man named Buck, and 4000 pounds of shelled corn from the couple we are buying our house from. When we attach faith to the gifts we give, expecting a harvest from God, why does it surprise us when God fulfils His Word? He says" Give and it shall be given unto you, pressed down and overflowing that you would not be able to contain it all". Perhaps I need to build a bigger warehouse? Some people are flying in from New York on Saturday to look at our house in Pharr, another miracle on the horizon? ABSOLUTELY!!! TAKE SOMETHING YOU HAVE AND GIVE IT AWAY TODAY
