Mexico Missions with Bruce and Paula: ANOTHER HOUSE,ANNIVERSARY,FOOD OUTREACH

We spent the last week building a house for Angel, Mary and thier daughter Casandra. Some friends from a church in Adkins Texas planned on building it, but couldn't, so they asked us to build it for the family, which we were glad to do. Without a team from the states, I was able to get Carmelo, Beto and Johnney to help and Angel had a few days off and was a great help as well. They all needed the work, so the money I paid them was a blessing to them. We'll wait on the dedication until the church that paid for the house can come. HAPPY TWO YEAR ANNIVERSARY TO US HERE IN MEXICO. WOW DOES TIME FLY!!! WE COULDN'T DO IT WITHOUT OUR PRAYER AND FINANCIAL PARTNERS, SO THANK YOU. The Iglesia Agua Viva celebrated its four year anniversary and we joined Pastor Victor and his congregation Sunday for a celebration in the colonia. Friday and Saturday,Doctor Peggy was here from St. Louis and saw almost 200 patients and PRAISE THE LORD, NO SWINE FLU CASES!! Saturday, Pastor Eduardo gave a message before we handed out food and the invitation brought one women to faith in Christ. We also did a bike repairing clinic Sat and Dennis and Sandra Morgan came from our church in Tx and blessed a lot kids and adults with new tubes, tires, brake cables and pedals on thier sorely neglected bikes. God is surely our strength, because we haven't stopped building and doing other things since we returned from Chgo. Bob and Marcia Horan are coming today from Chgo and we are looking forward to the next few days with them. They haven't joined us here in Mx since they spent thier Honneymoon with us several years ago.

HIS STORY IN OUR LIVES

We moved to the TX/MX border in the Fall of '07 from Chicago, IL. We had been coming to Reynosa on short-term missions trips for over 10 years. Each time we left a little bit more of our hearts behind. Thru the circumstances of life Paula and I both agreed that now is the time to do that which gave us meaning and purpose in life. So we sold our home and came to the Rio Grand Valley at the southern most point of Texas. We have since joined with Mexico Missions Inc. to assist them with their childrens backpack programs in Mexico. Our mission is to reach the poorest of the poor in Mexico. We build homes, offer food and clothing to those in need, but most importantly we share the love and hope that is found in our Lord Jesus Christ. Living radical lives has expanded our vision and ministry from feeding hundreds of families to thousands.

WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP US REACH OUT TO THOSE IN NEED

Our ministry is totally supported by people like you.Since we did not raise our needed support before entering the mission field we continue to walk by faith that God will speak to the hearts of those of you reading our blog and joining us on short term trips to Mexico to help us help our brothers and sisters in Reynosa. Child school sponsorship $400.00 per year per child, a newly designed home can be built with some help from the people in Mx. for a gift of $3800.00 or any portion thereof until enough money is raised to build one.
