so many things! a birthday, dinner with friends, a sowing class and bagging beans for an outreach.

A SAD BUT AWESOME DAY AHEAD

Today brother bill would have turned 60. He's been with the Lord for a month now. I wonder what he's been doing up there? Most likely he has been spending his time thanking Jesus for him even being there. Eternity is a long- long time, well it's forever, and we'll all be there one day, well not all, but those that give their lives to Christ. So it's a sad and a glad day. I guess I'm kinda jealous as well, as I long to be with Jesus and all the saints. Soon and very Soon we're going to see the King!!!
Today Gator wants to bring his truck over and give it to me, well I should say my truck, but we're going to Mexico and won't be back until this afternoon. I'll try to get him to wait, because I want a picture of the transfer of "power". The Net Menders are coming with us today to do a few work projects in the colonia, and have a sewing outreach as well. A few men will wire a couple houses we built, some painters will paint and others will do whatever.

SOMETIMES THE FAVOR OF GOD IS SO OVERWHELMING .... NOT!!!

If only I could see things through the eyes of people sometimes, that just watch and observe all that God does to accomplish His will. The weekly and even daily evidence of God Favor over our lives is somewhat overwhelming, even to the point of asking, who am I, that You would be mindful of us? And The Holy Spirit seems to remind me, that doing what God has called us to do, with the promise that He would accomplish even more than we ever dreamed or thought possible echoes in my heart.
This week was no exception. Starting with the gift of an awesome truck, to a Pastor taking a whole load of food and other things to Mexico for us, followed by him getting our 50,000 watt generator across, that we had tried several times and failed, to being blessed with such good friends and partners to bless thousands of families every month. The list goes on and on. People have told me several different times that I need to write a book about all that God has done over the last several years, and I always say that our blog is my book, so if you agree, and rejoice in what God is doing, share our blog with others. We have tried for years to get local people involved with us to reach out and help those in Mexico with very little success, but all these people from the Midwest have no problems getting involved and travel very far and surrender vacation time and a whole lot of money to join us, and for that we are eternally grateful, and with that God is also well pleased.
An update on Alfred Huston, who came down from Illinois , with his wife Gladys to join us on Mission and then succumbed to an infection in his stomach which led to surgery this week, is doing quite well. He is off the respirator, and progressing remarkably. His son Rex and his wife Theresa flew down and his Daughter Debbie and her husband Brad are coming today. So God brings families together in the midst of trials and maybe Brad and I can get a golf game in since we couldn't when he was here last month to serve in Mexico because it rained so much.
Paula and I were trying, and I mean trying, to join our two girls on a vacation this month but God has other plans. You see we make plans, but it is God who directs our steps. So for the short time we have left on this earth, we will serve the Lord. Heaven will be my vacation. Because by going away for a week or so is good, and gives us a chance to re-charge and get away from it all, there really is no other thing we would rather do than do, than that which we already do. Eternity lasts forever, this is the only chance we get to " Spend Ourselves" on behalf of the One that loved us and gave his life for us.
I gotta go, chorizo and eggs are on Paulas breakfast menu today as Rick and Dianne Balmer head out and head home after 6 weeks of serving the Lord down here. Carmelos college class presented us with a certificate of appreciation for helping the poor in Mexico, and the boys are building Carmelo and Ruth a new block bathroom. We use it too, so it will be nice to have a bigger better one, complete with a donated solar water heater for hot showers. MORE FAVOR!!!

EPHESIANS 3 VERSE 20 'HE IS ABLE"

" He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the POWER that worketh in us." The last few days I have seen this scripture fulfilled.  It started this past Saturday, when we do our monthly food outreach to the colonia, when hundreds of people come to hear the Word of God and get some much needed food for their families. I invited the Carpenters Crew team that remains for several weeks to avert the cold up north until their last team comes in two weeks, to join us for the dispensa.  I also invited the Power Ministry that is working on several building projects in the area to join us as well. They sent a couple of vans with about 15 guys to help and see what goes on in the building they so generously donated to us last year.
When they all arrived, hundreds of people were waiting patiently to meet the groups that are so vital to our ministry. Pastor Jaime and Pastor Antonio both gave some inspirational messages to the people and we started handing out the food as some of the Power team prayed and others helped hand out the food. Two women testified about the healing power of prayer, one from cancer and another from a tumor. A few others came forward for prayer for headaches and neck problems, but three people stuck around until almost everyone had left and received Christ as their Savior. What a glorious day.
One of the Power vans took most of the remaining roofing materials I had purchased for their projects. The only roofing left was 2 16 foot pieces that would not fit in the van or in my trailer. I know a man named Gator Carter that runs Big Heart orphanage in Mexico, he has a big Ford truck with racks on top able to haul the roofing. I have been praying about buying Gators truck from him to do our heavy moving of beans and rice and roofing and it's four wheel drive and I could definitely use it when the roads are muddy. Well Sunday I joined the Power Ministry at Alliansa Church early in the morning for a devotion time and we shared communion together as well. They asked me to share a few words with the 70 men in attendance before the church service. I shared about our ministry and challenged the guys to surrender more of their lives to God and His service. After I shared, Bob Krull came to the podium and asked if I could deliver those 16 foot pieces of roofing? He said that Gator had given them the keys to use his truck to deliver the long pieces. I said I'd be glad to and he handed me the keys. I started to walk back to my seat and Bob stopped me and said that he had one more thing for me, and proceeded to hand me the title to the truck that Gator owned. I was floored with emotion and tears. These guys just bought and paid for the truck that I had been asking God to somehow provide the funds for us to buy for our ministry. I'M OVERWHELMED BY GOD GOODNESS. THE BIBLE SAYS THAT IF WE DELIGHT OURSELVES IN THE LORD, HE WILL GIVE US THE DESIRES OF OUR HEARTS.
