New Style of House

We spent the day today pouring the floor for one of the houses we need to build this month. Clemente works as a cement mason so doing the floor and foundation was no big deal. I asked him if he would like to build himself a cement block house instead of us building him a wood house? He said he would love to have block house and it would last much longer than a wood house.I'll still have to build the roof joists and put the metal roof on once he is finished with the walls. I'm excited to provide block houses instead of wood. When we don't have teams here, I think we'll build block houses. We can give jobs to some men that desperatly need some money to provide for thier families. It's still over 100 degrees every day. Paula brought some burgers and hot dogs to the colonia after we finished the cement. We set ur our table and chairs under the tarp we have strung up to give us some shade. The neighbors joined us as we waited for the cement foreman to come and get the money for the cement. We saw Scott Lisa, and the kids driving thru the colonia today giving out the school supplies that were donated and sent down from back home. We hope to raise enough money to send all the kids to school that want to go.Adios
